Have you ever wondered what life was like for prisoners in an 18th or 19th Century jail?

Go on a journey through time, as you are transported back to the 18th century to a time when Gaol invoked fear into the hearts of men.

Experience Prison life firsthand as you are arrested by our vicious Gaoler and taken down into the dark dungeons deep in the heart of the Old Courthouse.
You will be placed in solitary confinement, disciplined by our school master, taken to the lunatic asylum, charged, fingerprinted and face public humiliation in the stocks.

You will mingle with residents from years gone by as you meet mad Mary Kelly, long term resident of the lunatic asylum and downtrodden Michael McFadden who faces the horror of transportation for pig stealing.
See for yourself how both sides lived as you converse with the wealthy James Napper Tandy and listen to Catherine Darragh who is doomed to live in abject poverty in the gaol, sick with worry thinking about her "poor waynes".

How will you hold up under the strict regime of "HARD BOARD, HARD FARE, HARD LABOUR"?

Will you ever see daylight again??!

Find out at the Old Courthouse today!!

Will you go mad like the inmates?
